Tosyn Bucknor, Jimmy Jatt shine at Nigerian Broadcaster’s Nite (+Pictures)

It was a huge start as the maiden edition of the highly- publicized Nigeria Broadcaster’s Nite berthed in style penultimate Thursday March 28 at the popular Club Vegas in Lagos, Nigeria.
The monthly event which is an offshoot of the yearly Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Awards was anchored by City 105.1 FM’s popular presenter, J-Luv De Butterfly and ace comedian, De-Don.

Tagged ‘Broadcaster’s Nite of Tosyn Bucknor’, it had cool DJ Jimmy Jatt as ‘Special Guest’ while the likes of Zdon Paporella, Azeezat, Uche, Bada Akintunde, Sabongeri, Lil’ Jojo, Biola Kazeem, Efa, Seyi Allen and Damirez, led other famous faces, fans and friends who came in their numbers to celebrate Tosyn, the popular radio girl and Jimmy Jatt, the multiple award -wining turntable majesty.

Red carpet reception couldn’t start until 8:00pm and the main programme started properly about an hour later with electrifying performances from the likes of Luni, Bonzo, Jason blu, Charmy, E2M, TC- Peruzzi, Azeezat, Lil’Jojo, Efa among other shining and rising music stars.
However, true to the plans, Tosyn was on the hot seat for a special question and answer session. Surprisingly, Tosyn did reveal during the banters that she has dumped her popular radio name ‘Area Mama’ for simply ‘Area’.  At the other hand, the great DJ Jimmy Jatt who was presented with a Special Recognition award for his outstanding contributions to the growth of the industry, was closed to tears as short brief about his monumental rise and rise to fame is been read.

Apart from the fun, frills and thrills, it was a night to be remembered as Tosyn Bucknor was presented the Certificate of Honour as NBMA’s Most Popular Radio Presenter in Nigeria. The C.E.O of The Reality Entertainment, organizers of the Nigeria Broadcasters Nite, Kazeem Popoola expressed joy at the turn out of the event and promised to up the ante in subsequent editions, while hinting that plans are underway to extend it to other states in other to reach out to NBMA’s winners outside Lagos.
