Tiemoue Bakayoko sends message to Chelsea ‘family’ after completing AC Milan move

The 23-year-old joined Chelsea on a five-year deal for a fee of around £40million last summer but struggled in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, finding himself out of Antonio Conte’s starting XI towards the end of the campaign. While Maurizio Sarri’s arrival appeared to hand Bakayoko a lifeline and a chance to resurrect his Chelsea career, the France midfielder has agreed to a temporary move to the San Siro. Milan have the option to make their deal permanent at the end of the season but it appears Bakayoko sees his long-term future in the Premier League with Chelsea. ‘Wishing my Chelsea family the best this season! #TILWEMEETAGAIN,’ the former Monaco man told his followers on Instagram. The Frenchman also praised Milan for showing belief in him ahead of the 2018/19 campaign. ‘AC Milan, thank you for believing in me and for all the support,’ Bakayoko wrote in a separate post. New Chelsea boss Sarri hinted that Bakayoko could be one of the players out of the exit door this summer. ‘Now I think the squad is too large,’ the Italian said ahead of Chelsea’s victory over Huddersfield. 156 Views

For sure he needs a bit of time to recover the best form. Tomorrow he is in our squad,” Conte said at a press conference ahead of the game. “I think I want to put him on the bench, and then to decide if there is the necessity to put him on or not. “I am very happy because now he is fine, but he needs a bit of time to find the best physical condition.” Games missed Moses missed four Premier League games, one league cup tie and three Champions League fixtures. The hamstring injury also prevented the Nigeria international from being part of the Super Eagles in the last international break. Moses missed Super Eagles away trip to Algeria for their last game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup which ended in a 1-1 draw and the 4-2 win over Argentina in a friendly game.
